David Bela Salomon, a Holocaust survivor and visionary entrepreneur, confirms his mission to shape the landscape of the GTA by developing and constructing high-rise rental buildings under the banner of Gonte Construction. With a foundational belief in the fundamental right of every person to have a safe, well-constructed, and thoughtfully designed home, David Salomon’s principles have been the bedrock of our development approach since inception.
Gonte Construction expands to develop low-rise, master-planned communities at sites in Newmarket, Brampton, Oshawa, Courtice, King City and East Gwillimbury. These communities solidify the company’s reputation for enhancing the quality of life for all residents at every phase of development; from meticulous design and construction to proactive property management and enticing amenities packages.
Gonte Construction is rebranded as the Preston Group, as the company continues to expand its portfolio of low-rise and high-rise communities under development and management. Preston Apartments, the rental division of the company, becomes Preston Living—the full-service property management arm of the group, delivering enhanced levels of service and lifestyle to our residents.
The Preston Group established DBS Developments as a fully integrated development company. Named after our founder, DBS carries Salomon’s mission into the future.
Construction commenced at our quintessential development 2Fifteen, located at 215 Lonsdale Rd. In the prestigious Forest Hill Village, 2Fifteen sets a new standard for luxury rental residences.
Construction commenced at Bela Square, North Danforth
Apartments. This new rental community will feature 484 new
suites including a variety of townhomes and family-sized
apartments in East York.
Construction commenced at Metro Park Condominiums. These
405 condominium residences are the first phase of this master
planned community at Don Mills Rd. and Eglinton Ave., just steps
from the new Eglinton Crosstown LRT and Ontario Line Subway.
